Right in the heart of Calvert City, Kentucky, this splash pad carries some real meaning behind it: the city officially dedicated it to Calvert City's children in 2017, and it has been a warm-weather staple ever since. At over 1,800 square feet and running on a recirculation system, it is a substantial setup, not just a couple of sprinklers in the grass. Best of all, it runs spring, summer, and fall from dawn until dusk, no reservations required, and completely free. The surrounding Memorial Park adds a lot to the visit. There is an outdoor amphitheater, pickleball courts, park pavilions, and a lighted half-mile loop trail that connects to the Calvert City Greenway Trail, so there is plenty to do before or after the water. This is an easy place to spend a full afternoon without spending a dime.
