Jesup Splash Pad
About this splash pad
Tucked into Liberty Volunteer Park on the southwest side of Jesup, Iowa, the Jesup Splash Pad is a community-built, all-inclusive water play destination that opened in 2024. Located at 100 Ann Street, it holds the distinction of being the first splash pad in Buchanan County. The project was championed by a local mom whose son uses a wheelchair, and the goal from the start was an accessible play space where all kids can enjoy the water together. The pad operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily during warm summer months, with sensor-activated water features that run for about four minutes at a time. Water is not recirculated, and a certified pool operator checks the system twice a day. Free to visit, it sits right in town and welcomes families of all ages.
