About this splash pad

Community fundraising brought this splash pad to life, and the result is a solid free water play option right in the heart of Portage, Wisconsin. The Portage Service Club Association organized the fundraising effort, the Portage Community School District donated the land, and it opened in 2013. It runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, so you've got a long summer season to work with. The splash pad itself sits inside Goodyear Park, which makes it easy to stretch the visit well beyond the water: there's playground equipment, a skate park, two shelters, charcoal grills, restrooms, and open green space all on site. Two shelters plus grills means packing lunch is worth it. Free admission the whole season.
