Fort Calhoun Splash Pad
About this splash pad
A dedicated group of local moms spearheaded the fundraising push that brought Fort Calhoun, Nebraska its own splash pad in 2021, and that origin story is baked right into the ground: 92 engraved bricks line the area, honoring the families and supporters who made it happen. Set inside Adams Street Plaza Park at 12th and Adams, the splash pad sits alongside an amphitheater, a walking trail, and a toddler play area, so there's plenty to do beyond the water. Trees and grasses were planted around the pad specifically to give little ones some shade on warm days. The city runs it daily from May through September, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., which is a solid window for fitting in a morning splash or an evening cool-down. Free to visit.
